These Gotoh SD90 aged tuners are crafted to look aged and worn during Gotoh's own initial production stage and therefore the key internal components are not affected by this process and retain their full usability and durability.
Featuring a solid Carved Maple top and a one piece Mahogany body, this improves sustain and allows the guitar to fully resonate throughout.

The Imperial Humbucker captures the airy top end, balanced mid-range, tight lows, and complex overtones of the classic original PAF pickups. We then improved on the design to give you a more balanced frequency response. Its medium output is in the vintage range with a hotter wound bridge pickup compared with a typical vintage set. The unbalanced coils produce a tight bottom end that complements the pickup's fullness and causes overtones to build after each note is played. Overall, it has a fuller bridge tone and a cleaner and brighter middle position. The neck is hot enough to play on the edge of amp distortion, or you can adjust your picking pressure to achieve a cleaner or dirtier sound as desired.
The rich, dark colour of the Ebony fretboard beautifully compliments the aged black Nitro top on the SB57/V-BK. Ebony produces a slightly brighter tone compared to Rosewood which pairs nicely with the Lollar's to create a great bluesy tone that cuts through the mix.
The Ebony headstock cap is inlayed with a pearloid 'Eastman' & custom logo to finish off the look.
The SB57/V-BK features a stunning aged Nitro Varnish finish. This is ultra thin and in certain light you can see the beautiful flame Maple top under the finish.
Nitro finishes age in a very different way to the modern Poly Finishes. They also resonate differently.
As nitro ages it cracks which is often from expanding and shrinking during change of temperature.
This guitar will continue to age as you play it and make it your own!
