Neck & Tuners

The Gold Gotoh Tuners with Ebony buttons are great quality setting of the Black Ebony Faceplate beautifully. The Maple Binding also looks stunning around the black Ebony.

The Neck is a one piece Mahogany with no join on the headstock or in the heal. This is only seen on the highest end of Eastman due to the increase in wood use.

Grand Auditorium

The Grand Auditorium delivers a balanced sound with plenty of mids but real heart and warmth.

Koa is a fabulous wood for the body as it has tremendous resonance but softened highs resulting in a stunning, dynamic and hearty projection.

Nitro-Cellulose Finish

Almost all Eastmans are Nitro finished. This 822 is a stunning High Gloss finish. Nitro allows the guitar to resonate much more than Poly Finishes while also letting the guitar age and mellow more quickly.

Deluxe Case

Only the highest end Eastman Guitars come with cases like this. The Leather effect is beautifully finished and the inside is soft and plush.

The body fits perfectly and the neck is held clear for maximum protection.

Body Ebony Trim

The Grand Auditorium is a wonderful sized body and generally comfortable to play. The 822 has been enhanced with an extra cut where the arm passes over the top, making it exceptionally comfortable to hold.

The inlay is in Ebony and is nicely hand finished in to the Maple binding.

LR Baggs Anthem Pickup

The Anthem is our favourite pickup on the market, with a natural mic'd tone but with the support of the bass from a piezo. This pickup compliments the guitar beautifully.

The Anthem uses mostly the Microphone but supports the bottom end using the piezo with frequencies below 240Hz. This stops the typical 'zing' of a typical piezo while also stopping the muffle of the bass associated with Microphones. Truly the best of both worlds combined.

Player Port

As you sit and play and acoustic most of the tone is projected out of the front of the instrument. With the Players Port cut beautifully in to the 822 you are able to hear the resonance in the body and particular the bottom end.
