Rotosound Tru Bass 88 - RS88LD 65-75-100-115 (Standard Gauge)
(Black Nylon Flatwound)
Most famously heard on the Beatles album ‘Abbey Road’. Super smooth with ultra low tension transforms any electric bass into a jazzy upright sound. Works great on fretless. Also works well with any kind of jazz, fusion, dub and reggae styles. Heard on ‘Transformer’ by Lou Reed, courtesy of Herbie Flowers.
Rotosound strings struck gold 1966 when John Entwistle of The Who came to the Rotosound factory in search of a new set of bass strings. He spent the afternoon trying out countless different gauges of strings before settling on a set that would become known as the Rotosound Swing Bass 66.
Rotosound strings are endorsed by a big, varied mix of bands and artists (past and present)… Kasabian, The Zutons, Velvet Revolver, Steve Harris, Billy Sheehan, Oasis, John Paul Jones, JJ Burnel, Sir Paul McCartney, Stanley Clarke, Pulp, Spiritual Beggars, Queen, Geddy Lee, Jaco Pastorius, The Cure, The Levellers, PJ Harvey, Echo and the Bunnymen, James Lomenzo, Phil Lynott - To name a few!
