These Magnum lock tuners are certainly vintage inspired but due to the fact that they are locking, they will be much more stable than usual vintage tuners.
A HSS configuration with the "Double Tricky" direct bridge humbucker and coil tap switches, which enables for many different sounds and tonal possibilities.
The Polyurethane finish is much more resistant to general wear, meaning that scratches and dings are harder to see and inflict. This helps to leave your new guitar looking shiny even after decades of use! The thin poly finish makes this guitar sound very resonant and expressive.
A beautifully flamed maple top with ASH back giving both a balanced tone and incredible look.
GOTO 2-point bridge which provides accurate and reliable tuning stability.
All FGN guitars and basses come with a unique Circle Fretting System (C.F.S.). It was created by FGN based on an idea to offer better pitch and articulation than conventional guitars and basses. All frets are installed on fingerboard in slightly curved shape, so that every string crosses all the frets in 90 degrees, i.e. to offer a minimum contact of string on a fret, and it makes the scale length of every string even while it actually varies on conventional fretting. The C.F.S. is a solution of fretting on a traditional guitar and bass and it offers clearer articulation and tones which give dimension when you play a cord and also cut through the mix when you play single notes.
The compound radius fingerboard has smaller (rounder) radius towards nut while larger (flatter) radius towards neck end i.e. similar to a shape of a cone. This allows for much easier chord playing at lower frets while having less stress, especially when bending strings at higher registers, thus making the neck feel much more comfortable and playable.
With a 5-way HSS pickup configuration, combined with the coil tap switches this is an instrument with a vast array of different sounds.
With the bridge humbucker coils split via the coil tap switch this will give you all of those vintage 60 style "S" type tones, while still sounding rich and full. With the coil taps disengaged the bridge pickup will sound like a classic humbucker with higher output, making the overall sound louder and thicker, consequently cutting through the mix more effectively.
Typically, when pickups are set in an out of phase position (position 2 and 4 on the diagram) they often have lower output and can sometimes sound thin. However, this guitar is equipped with a boost switch which sits directly next to the coil tap, which boosts the output and gain, giving a much more pronounced sound. These onboard switching options allow easy and quick tone shaping. You can easliy blend each pickup together through the various pickup options which can be seen in the diagram.
